Michael Carlson Named 2018 Shining Stars Ambassador of the Year by Tigard Chamber

Michael Carlson, Owner of Portland Badge and Sign Company has been named the 2018 Tigard Shining Stars Chamber Ambassador of the Year.  The Ambassador of the Year Award is presented to an Ambassador volunteer who significantly affects a positive perception of the Chamber through active participation, an optimistic attitude and solid business practices.  The recipient is active, involved, interested, and enthusiastic about making the Tigard Chamber a great organization!  The Tigard Chamber Ambassadors are a volunteer group of chamber members who manage weekly a.m. networking, Speed Networking and Holiday Happy Hour.  They extend the capabilities of the chamber to deliver services to members in addition to paid staff.  Without the Ambassadors, the chamber could not have the impact it does for its members. 
Michael is a long tenured and well connected Ambassador for our team.  He has been reliable not only in his support for our weekly Good Morning Tigard events, where he is often the first to arrive, but is a regular participant at Good Evening Tigard events, Ribbon Cuttings, and many other area Volunteer events including Relay for Life. He has engaged and invited several new members into our Chamber.  Michael is a repeat sponsor for most Chamber Special Events, this year he set the bar for Raffle Prizes at Speed Networking and Holiday Happy Hour, helping our team meet and exceed our goals.  Michael consistently greets our members new and old with his great smile and genuine interest.  For all these reason’s and more he has earned this honor.
