Welcome to this week’s edition of What’s Up, Tigard?, your regular rundown of how the Tigard Chamber has been championing local business and community vitality. From energizing networking events to behind-the-scenes advocacy at City Hall and beyond, we’ve packed a lot into the past few days and we’re excited to share the highlights with you. Grab your favorite drink and settle in for a quick read, and see how the Tigard Chamber has been working for you and the broader Tigard community.
As summer reaches its peak, our community continues to thrive with energy and opportunity for businesses, residents, and visitors alike. One of the highlights of the season has been our weekly Good Morning Tigard networking events, which bring local business professionals together to start the day in a welcoming, engaging atmosphere while fostering meaningful connections and new business relationships. We are grateful to our recent Chamber member hosts, including NW Accent, Cogir, Pinnacle Wellness Center, and Columbia Bank, for helping make these gatherings such a success. Be sure to check our online calendar for August’s Good Morning Tigard locations as we have another full month of early morning networking and community connections ahead.
We were delighted to celebrate several Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies this summer as we welcomed ABC Vision, Akwaba Foods, and Ivybrook Academy to the Tigard business community. Each of these businesses brings something unique to our community while helping meet the needs of local residents, and we are excited to have them as part of our growing business network. As you are out and about this summer, we encourage you to stop by and support these new businesses, along with the many locally owned shops, restaurants, and service providers that make it easy and rewarding to shop local in Tigard.
Our annual Multi-Chamber Networking Event, hosted in partnership with the Tigard Festival of Balloons, was another fantastic morning of networking at Cook Family Park. As our largest networking event of the year, it brought together business professionals from across the region for an opportunity to build relationships, exchange ideas, and strengthen connections. We were proud to partner with the Beaverton, Tualatin, Lake Oswego, and West Linn Chambers of Commerce to make this event such a success. Thank you to everyone who joined us for a memorable morning. We look forward to welcoming you back to the field next year!
We held our Annual Meeting at the DoubleTree by Hilton Portland – Tigard in June. This was our opportunity to share what we have accomplished in the last year, give a brief overview of where we are going with our strategic plan, and celebrate our amazing community of Board Members and Ambassadors. Thank you to everyone who joined us to hear what we have coming up!
Earlier this year, we launched two new Affinity Groups – Health & Wellness and All Things Home – and we are excited to see both continue to gain momentum each month. With new members joining the conversations and Chamber businesses generously hosting meetings, these groups have become valuable spaces to connect with peers, share industry insights, and build meaningful professional relationships. If your business aligns with either group, we encourage you to mark your calendar and join us for one of our August meetings. We would love to welcome you into the conversation!
The Tigard Farmers Market continues to operate each Sunday in Universal Plaza in Downtown Tigard from 9:00am to 1:30pm. Nothing says summer quite like a trip to the Tigard Farmers Market – grab a coffee, stock up on fresh produce, and discover something new from our amazing local vendors.
Save the Date for our next Tigard Young Professionals Mixer on August 19th at Tap & Table in Tigard.
Looking for new summer activities or places to get outdoors to explore? Stop by the Tigard Visitors Center at 12345 SW Main Street in Downtown Tigard for all your itinerary needs.
That wraps up our week, but the momentum doesn’t stop here. If one of these initiatives sparked an idea, a partnership, or a question, let us know! Comment below, reach out to the team, or stop by the Tigard Chamber office on Main Street. And don’t forget to mark your calendar for next week’s events (check the Tigard Chamber Calendar for all the details). Together, we’re building a thriving and resilient Tigard one conversation, one connection, and one bold step at a time.
See you out there!
Your Tigard Chamber Staff
