Shop Chamber during the Holidays
Support Your Fellow Chamber Businesses – Shop Local this Holiday Season:
As a career-long chamber member, I’ve always been a strong supporter of “Shop Local” campaigns. Supporting local businesses keeps our spending dollars in our own community, supporting local jobs and strengthening and growing businesses.
This holiday season keep in mind these local chamber members when doing your shopping (to name a few): Washington Square, Fred Meyer, Costco Wholesale, Walmart and Bridgeport Village. How about these downtown Tigard merchants: Sherrie’s Jewelry Box, Jeffrey Allen Gallery, and New Shoes Professional Shoe Repair. Close to downtown Tigard are: Center Street Gold & Silver and Cellular Sales.
Why should you shop local?
Buying local has benefits beyond mere convenience. Shopping local Improves the local economy. You have a chance to know the people behind the product. Our community is unique and we want it to stay that way. By shopping local, you may get better and more personalized customer service.
The chamber also has several opportunities for connection with local non-profit agencies. Here is a list of those organizations that can also use your support this season and in the coming year:
American Cancer Society
Breast Friends
Broadway Rose Theatre Company
Chelsea Hicks Foundation
Community Action
Community Partners for Affordable Housing
CORE – Compassion Organization
Edwards Center
The Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools

With Love,
At the Chamber, we strive to help our business community to succeed. We want to make our community a better place to live work and play. It’s a good idea to make a habit of supporting fellow Chamber businesses and non-profits throughout this season and 2018.
