Nicholas De Salvo Named 2016 Tigard Shining Stars Chamber Volunteer of the Year

Nicholas De Salvo, Founder & Creative Director of Edge One Media, has been named the 2016 Tigard Shining Stars Chamber Volunteer of the Year.  This award honors a Chamber member who has volunteered many hours of time, talent and energy to the success and growth of the Tigard Chamber.  Bert Tousey and his example of Chamber volunteerism is commitment at its best.  This person is an example of an active member who has sustained their efforts on behalf of the Chamber over a long period of time.  By their efforts, they have made this organization more effective in serving the Tigard community.Nicholas’ volunteerism with the Tigard Chamber is largely behind the scenes, utilizing his creative skills on behalf of the chamber and entities it supports.  He donated his creative talents to the rebranding of the Tigard Chamber, enabling a fresh, vibrant look to the brand including vertical banners, business cards, clings and more. Tigard Young Professional at their inception in 2013 benefited from his creative talents. 
From 2013-2015 he donated design and creative work for numerous Downtown Tigard event posters, flyers, postcards and lawn signs as part of the chambers work on these events.  This enabled visual consistency across events. Events have included the annual Tree Lighting, Trick or Treat Main Street, Street Fair and general downtown promotion.  He is the man behind the original 4 quadrant poster version you see in Downtown Tigard. Finally, he has supported numerous Ambassador events behind the scenes as a volunteer.
All of this came about because of Nicholas’ belief in supporting his community. In addition to being a volunteer with the Tigard Chamber, Nicholas has volunteered his time and talent to the Tigard / Tualatin Relay for Life (2014-2016), For the Heart Foundation (2012-2016), Love INC of Tigard, Tualatin, and Sherwood (2012-2015), and Tigard Playschool (2014-2016) and various local business startups.

With a theme of “Diamonds are Forever”, this elegant themed dinner event includes dinner, silent auction, dessert dash, awards, and more.
