Welcome to this month’s edition of What’s Up, Tigard?, your regular rundown of how the Tigard Chamber has been championing local business and community vitality. Grab your favorite drink and settle in for a quick read, and see how the Tigard Chamber has been working for you and the broader Tigard community.
There’s something about fall that invites us to slow down, take stock, and prepare for a new season ahead. As the leaves turn and the year enters its final stretch, it’s the perfect time for businesses to reflect, refocus, and build momentum for a strong finish to the year.
September offered up a fun lineup of weekly Good Morning Tigard (GMT) networking events, giving local business professionals the opportunity to see firsthand how collaboration can bring people, ideas, and businesses together to create something truly special. Easterseals Oregon and WorkSource Oregon teamed up for a great morning event as well as Left Mind Media and All Phase Restoration. Heritage Bank opened its doors to the GMT crowd, sharing how they partner with customers to turn dreams into reality and help strengthen the communities we all call home. A special congratulations goes out to Oregon Music Academy who celebrated their 25th Anniversary at their GMT this month, along with a ribbon cutting to mark the occasion!
Speaking of ribbon cuttings, we celebrated two additional Ribbon Cuttings in September, and both happened to fall on the same day! First up was Dentique Dental Studio‘s First Anniversary Open House & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony followed by the Tigard Carts on Broadway Grand Opening. This local food cart pod brings together a diverse lineup of food trucks and mobile kitchens, offering everything from global street food to Pacific Northwest favorites.
The Tigard Young Professionals swapped local taps for local coffee at the Coffee Chat & Connect event hosted at Symposium Coffee. This casual morning gathering brought young professionals together to make connections, exchange ideas, and build meaningful relationships within the community.
Our two new Affinity Groups – Health & Wellness and All Things Home – both continue to gain momentum each month. With new members joining the conversations and Chamber businesses generously hosting meetings, these groups have become valuable spaces to connect with peers, share industry insights, and build meaningful professional relationships. If your business aligns with either group, we encourage you to join us for one of our October meetings.
The 2026 State of Business event at Broadway Rose Theatre was a HUGE success! Thank you to our generous sponsors and incredible speakers for their support. This year’s theme was Building Tigard’s Next Chapter: Turning Vision into Action. Attendees enjoyed multiple presentations and conversations with local leaders, community partners and business and civic professionals designed to highlight how we can turn shared vision into meaningful action and build a vibrant, resilient and inclusive future for Tigard. Stay tuned for a dedicated blog post that will expand on the highlights of this event.
